Maremma
The Maremma of the north is an area rich in evocative landscapes and different from each other, passing from the Mediterranean scrub to the coast made of white sands, washed by a clear sea and framed by an always green and thick pine forest.
The Maremma of the south, instead, is a wild land, which lets itself be dominated by the most uncontaminated nature.
1 Food and Wine
With our Maremma cooking class you will be immersed in the atmosphere of the Maremma countryside and you will know about products such as: vegetables, wine and oil that come from these lands.
The group, divided into teams, will have the task of preparing lunch or dinner for all participants. For each group will be drawn a recipe and all participants, together with the chef, will go in search of ingredients to use, strictly local.
At the end of the activity will be issued a certificate of participation and will be voted the best dish, of course at the end of the tasting!
The chef will teach you the tricks of cooking and you will spend a day... with taste!
2 Art and Culture
Do not miss the Tarot Garden in Capalbio, its construction began in 1979 and finished with the opening to the public in 1998.
The artist Niki de Saint Phalle, inspired by the Bomarzo garden, has dedicated herself to the construction of the twenty-two impressive steel and concrete figures covered with glass, mirrors and colored ceramics, for more than seventeen years.
The figures are rich in symbolic and esoteric meanings.

3 Outdoors
Enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Maremma, the Argentario is characterized by coves, caves and fantastic beaches.
The best way to visit them is along the promontory, renting a boat or a dinghy in the villages of Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole. In this way, you can reach all the places, even more hidden and less known, accessible only from the sea.

Along the gulf of Follonica you can find both the beach of the city, with its establishments, and more wild and natural beaches, especially in the town of Torre Mozza. The fine white sand, the crystal clear sea and the suggestive flora make this long beach the most beautiful of the Maremma.
This beach is located in the municipality of Porto Ercole, along the coast of Monte Argentario. The presence of many pebbles on the shoreline makes the water crystal clear. The bottom is stony at first and then becomes sandy. The visit to this magnificent unspoiled beach surrounded by Maremma nature is an experience that we recommend to all tourists.
The beach of Cala Violina is located in the municipality of Scarlino, north of Punta Ala and south of Follonica. In the heart of the Maremma coast, it is immersed in the Mediterranean maquis. You can reach it on foot, with an easy walk on a 1.5 km path.
When you walk on the beach the sound resembles a violin. Here the water is crystal clear and the view of the surrounding headlands is breathtaking.
4 Activities with the little ones
The Orbetello Lagoon is an earthly paradise for birds, which are concentrated here during migratory routes.
Thanks to the quality of the lagoon environment, for lovers of birdwatching, here you can admire thousands of birds in the great expanses of water such as flamingos, Italian knight, great white heron, grey heron, osprey etc...
One of the most exciting shows is admiring a large number of pink flamingos in autumn and spring.
The oasis allows the observation of the fauna through a path with 9 stations. At the Casale sul tombolo della Giannella, you can visit the exhibition on wetlands and the garden of butterflies.
