FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This page is to answer some of the questions most frequently asked by our clients.

1 .  Is it possible to rent a property (villa or apartment) for less than a week? Is the rental period with Belcanto Villas always Saturday to Saturday?

Not all our properties are rented weekly, from Saturday to Saturday. And in any case, also for those who prefer it, owners are happy to make exceptions (especially during the low and mid Seasons).

We kindly suggest you contact the Belcanto Villas team if you have fixed dates and we will do our best to accommodate you.


2.  How can I secure my preferred booking dates? Before booking, I need time to discuss with my family and friends our travel options.

We can place a free booking option for you for up to 72 hours to secure your dates, while you make your decision. During this time the vacation rental will be temporarily blocked for you and no one else will be able to make a reservation for your requested period.


3.  Is it possible to pay the deposit/balance via PayPal or Wire Transfer?

Surely a Wire Transfer payment is possible, unfortunately not via PayPal.

Please contact the Belcanto Villas team, who will be happy to place a 72-hour booking option to secure your booking and send you the bank details for the transfer.


4. What does maximum occupancy mean?

For security reasons (under Italian Law), the number of people must not exceed the number of sleeping places indicated on the property description. Infants (under 2) are not included in occupancy figures.

In some properties, you can request a baby cot or an extra bed as an additional sleep place. Please consider that an extra cost could be indicated in the property description.

At check-in the owner or his representative could not allow you to check-in if the number of your party exceeds the foreseen number of people or maximum occupancy or if some of your party doesn’t show a correct identity document.


5.  Do you offer travel insurance?

Belcanto Villas does not offer travel insurance (yet). We urge clients to purchase a travel insurance cover including coverage against trip cancellation.

Some credit card companies include holiday insurance, so you should first check your credit card or ask your preferred insurance company. Please see our booking conditions for more in-depth information.


6.  Can you support us with cooking services?

To Italian law, Belcanto Villas cannot offer you direct cooking service for mostly all the rental properties, but we will put you in contact with local cooks who will be happy to assist with cooking services during your stay.

If you would like to have your arrival meal prepared by a local cook, the Belcanto Villas team will be delighted to ask a cook to arrange the service for you.

Please remember to ask in advance.


7.  Can you support us with the booking of a driver?

We know lots of professional drivers and we will be delighted to put you in contact with them and book their services.


8 . Do you suggest renting a car at a local agency or the airport?

We suggest you book it in advance and rent a car from the car rental agencies who also have offices at the airports: they generally offer a wider range of cars at better prices with good service (24-hour support) which local car rentals, unfortunately, do not have.


9 .  Are electricity, gas, water, and internet connection costs included in the rental price?

In almost all our properties these utilities are included in the price. Please read carefully the property description if they must be paid locally (either on consumption or at a fixed cost).

This could be generally for heating (in winter) or air-conditioning (in summer).

We kindly ask you to reduce your utilities consumption, it’s better for the planet!


10.  Is cleaning service included?

Each rental property will be cleaned throughout at the beginning of the rental period ensuring that it will be perfectly clean and Covid sanitized when you check-in.

This is also the reason why check-in cannot be in the morning or the early afternoon, but is generally allowed after 4 p.m. Please read carefully the property description if they must be paid locally at check-in.

To Italian law, Belcanto Villas cannot offer you direct cleaning service during your stay for mostly all rental properties, but we will put you in contact with professionals who will be happy to serve you during your stay.


11.  Is there a washing machine?

Mostly all our properties have a washing machine available to guests. Some properties do also have a dryer available. Amenities are well listed in the property description, but do not hesitate to contact the Belcanto Villas team if you would like any extra information on the amenities at the properties.


12.  Can we check in before the foreseen hour? Can we check out after 10 am?

The exact time window to check-in is written in the description of each property, and is generally from 4 pm to 7 pm (please get a telephone direct contact with the welcoming staff on site and update them on any eventual delay).

Please ask directly to the welcoming staff if you would like to have an early check-in. If there are no clients staying at the property before you, they will be happy to organise it free of charge.

Standard check-out time is mainly by 10 am and it is written in the description of each property. It is not generally possible to check-out after this time as the rental properties need to be cleaned and prepared thoroughly for the arrival of the next guests. If there are no other guests arriving that day, it may be possible to organise a late check-out time.


13.  Who will be at the property to welcome the guests at check-in?

When we receive the balance payment, we will send you detailed directions on how to get to your rented property and the contact of the house manager or owner waiting for you to show you the property.

Please confirm to them in advance your foreseen arrival time. Should you need any assistance while checking-in, the Belcanto Villas team is always available.


14.  Do your villas accept pets?

Not all our properties are pet friendly. We suggest checking the property description or asking Belcanto Villas Team when booking a property if your pet will be welcomed, as in most cases pets are on request. This might also depend on size.
