Our Opinion: The Perfect Accommodation for Demanding Travelers who have no problem climbing stairs
This home is ideal for couples looking for a romantic stay, for families who want to explore Florence with maximum comfort and for groups of friends who want to experience the city from a privileged perspective. Also perfect for professionals and smart workers looking for a refined and inspiring environment, with large and bright spaces. The strategic position allows you to easily reach museums, restaurants and exclusive boutiques, making this house a perfect starting point to discover the true essence of Florence. Particularly suitable for stays of several days or even several weeks. This accommodation is particularly not recommended for those who have difficulty climbing stairs as it is located on the fourth floor, without a lift, with 77 steps to climb to reach the entrance door and another 20 to reach the terrace.
Attractions
Less than a 10-minute walk away are all the most important Renaissance monuments, as well as the Sant'Ambrogio market and the Santa Maria Novella train station.
During the Renaissance, this area was the cultural center of Florence, Italy and the world!
The area overflows with humanity especially around the stalls that are spread around the Central Market, which is also very populated inside.
On the ground floor there is still the ancient market, where you can buy typical Florentine food products (don't forget to taste the lampredotto and finocchiona!), while on the first floor restaurants and street food follow one another in a unique socializing environment where everyone can eat at the same table!
The other face of the neighborhood is that of the Medici family who left humanity majestic works such as the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the family's seat for decades, the Basilica of San Lorenzo and the Medici Chapels, an extraordinary family mausoleum.
An obligatory stop on every visit to Florence is the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, also known as the Duomo with its wonderful dome by Brunelleschi, adorned by the Baptistery > and from the adjacent Giotto's Bell Tower: many steps are absolutely worth climbing to admire a breathtaking view!
But don't forget to visit Piazza Santa Croce and get lost in the streets of the historic center among its ancient shops, its cafes and trattorias offering typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine.
Those who choose to live in this area will find a wide range of food shops, pastry shops, bakers and much more.
Parking
If you wish to use the car to get to the apartment, we advise you to book the nearest garage, in order to obtain a temporary access permit through one or more ZTL doors.
You can go directly to the apartment to unload your luggage and then, within 3 hours of your first access to the ZTL, go to the garage, which reports your license plate on the "white list" (at a cost of € 1,00) for regular access without sanctions.

The nearest bus stop to the house is on via della Colonna about 3 minutes walking distance, and the bus n° is 6, 14 or 23.

Interior Description
The property (140 sq.mt /1500 sq.ft) has with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and it can comfortably accommodate up to 5 people. At the entrance, on the ground floor, there is the door that leads to the two bedrooms. On the left there is the quiet main bedroom with master bed (180 x 200 cm), closet, and ensuite bathroom with bathtub. This bathroom has a small laundry area. On the right there is the second bedroom with two beds (95 x 200 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with shower. Climbing up only 10 stairs the guests will reach the first floor, which has a welcoming living room with a decorative fireplace, and with just three more steps the guests will arrive at the bright and spacious kitchen with dining room with a view of the Duomo. On the same level there is the third bedroom with a single pull out coach (95 x 200 cm) and bathroom with shower that overlooks the main bedroom downstairs. From the kitchen, using a spiral staircase with 13 steps, the guests will reach the panoramic terrace with a 360 ° view of Florence, furnished with a table, gazebo, and lights to eat out in the open. The apartment is very well furnished with high quality furniture and beautiful tapestry, perfect for a welcoming stay.

What a beautiful place to stay in Florence. The listing is very clear about the number of steps up to the apartment. Also be prepared for many steps/levels once inside, like steps inside of bedrooms/bathrooms. But you are in Florence, there will be many steps all day, every day :) We used the terrace every day.
One rather inconvenient part was that only one key is provided. You have to use a lock box to get in and out of the apartment. It wouldn't be an issue if your entire party stays on the same itinerary, but that was not the case for us. Fiddling with a lock box after climbing to the 5th floor in a hot/muggy stairwell is just a recipe for always returning to your place hot and sweaty. A few extra keys would be an easy fix.
After all that I've said you might be surprised to see that I still rate the place 5 stars, but it is just a really special place. Grazie mille Danielle.

We loved the apartment, especially the rooftop terrace; we enjoyed seeing the Duomo in the morning light and at sunset! The bedrooms were comfortable, the bathrooms great. The common space was very comfortable to sit and visit after a day of touring. The kitchen was well equipped for our limited use, mainly left overs and making tea. The kitchen table was a common place for us to sit and plan our day. Daniele was very responsive, providing us with his phone number for any urgent needs. The book of information about the apartment and the area was very helpful.
There are 77 steps and no elevator but this was not a problem for us. We loved the apartment and I look forward to staying there again !!

This apartment is centrally located near the Duomo but out of the fray of all the people. It has a stunning view from the rooftop terrace where we sat every night having a glass of wine and watching the sun go down over the Duomo and the surrounding hills. Fantastic apartment. plenty of space for 5persons. The rooftop terrace is great to sit out in the morning or evening. Good AC and good power in all the showers. Once you have climbed the stairs with the luggage it is ok after that. It is worth it for the apartment. Bakery 1min away and so near the Duomo.

The view from this apartment was the kind of thing you remember all your life! Furnishings were lovely. The sofa was a great spot for a nap after a busy day in Florence. This place is incredible. Excellent location near grocery, food and night life. My kids say it was the best place we stayed at our entire trip. My husband was looking up real estate prices.. The balcony was stunning and house very cute and clean. The stairs are legit and you have like 3 min to get up them before the hall lights shut off- with luggage- this was fun. However, once you are in the place- you are golden.

La casa es espectacular. Dos habitaciones muy grandes, otra más modesta, pero todas con baño completo. Zona común amplia y cómoda, al igual que la cocina, totalmente equipada, y con vistas a la cúpula de la catedral. La terraza tiene unas vistas inmejorables de todo Florencia. Desde la casa no se oyen ruidos de coches ni de gente. Super tranquila y silenciosa. El dueño, muy atento, incluso dejó varios paraguas ya que la previsión era de lluvia

这是我们意大利行程住得最舒服的地方。一开始我们是被露台吸引，但入住之后我觉得 Danielle 是更吸引客人的点。他亲自迎接我们，在房间里准备了厚厚一本说明，我们想到的所有问题都提前准备好在册子里了。虽然如此，我们问说明册里的重复问题时，他还是不厌其烦地及时回复。所有问题都能马上解决。每个房间都有独立的卫生间，非常方便。厨房设施齐全，还有洗碗机，让做饭变得更加简单。我在露台上看了日出，太美好了！没有电梯这点不足完全不影响。

The view was simply breathtaking! Despite it being December, we were able to play cards on the rooftop during the day in the warm sun with the Duomo as the shining star. Place is super unique. We loved it and the location. I must say, New Year’s Eve fireworks at midnight is a top highlight of my life!

This is one of the best Airbnbs we have ever stayed in. The location was perfect, the views were amazing, and the house was clean, well furnished, and spacious. Don’t let the stairs deter you from staying in this place! I don’t do well with stairs but it was manageable even for me. I can’t say enough good things about this place. If it were for sale, I would buy it and live there permanently!

The apartment is absolutely stunning – classic, spacious, and full of character. We were a group of six friends and had an amazing time! There was plenty of room for everyone, the location was perfect, and it truly felt like the heart of Florence.

Daniele was a wonderful host and the villa was exactly what we were looking for on our trip. The star of the show was the gorgeous roof top terrace overlooking the Duomo which looked exactly like the pictures and offered incredible views no matter what time of day. The House Book was meticulous in providing instructions on all of the house's appliances and some fantastic local recommendations. Daniele himself was so friendly and communicative and even helped us schlep all of our luggage up to the 4th floor. Definitely a home with a lot of stairs, but we didn't mind: it helped us prepare for our climb of the Tower of Pisa and had been clearly communicated in the check-in instructions. We had a perfect stay and would not hesitate to book again.

This is an amazing apartment in the heart of Florence, my family and I had the most lovely stay there. The place was spotless, tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and sofas, and had every amenity you might need - it felt like staying at a relative's home. The location is walkable to everything yet quiet in the evenings. Even though we stayed in the summer, I can imagine that it would be nice to stay in the winter as well because the place is outfitted with aircon as well as a fireplace. We had no issue with walking up the 4 floors because the stairs are sturdy and not too steep. The best part is you will be rewarded with the most charming rooftop balcony at the very top, we spent every free moment up there. Daniele is a friendly and responsive host (he even helped us carry our suitcases up to the apartment!), we felt very welcome. The local wine and cookies were a nice present, and they were very much appreciated after a long day of travel :).

Magical stay in a wonderful city. The property is huge over multiple levels. The terrace is like a movie set. The view is breathtaking with a great sunset and evening views of the Duomo is next level.

Our favorite part of the stay was coffee on the rooftop, where we felt like we were the only people in Florence. It was so peaceful and have the Duomo in view was breathtaking. Right before bed, we also made our way to the rooftop to enjoy the 360 degree view of the city lit up for the evening. The steps up to the apartment definitely kept our steps tracker going! What a wondeful and central place to stay in Florence. We have throughly enjoyed the breathtaking and relaxing views of the Duomo but also of the Palazzo Vechhio and Florence surroundings. Daniele was a proactive and responsive host. We are a family of 6 and there was ample room for all of us to move around. The kitchen was well equiped and the wifi was connecting perfectly for having kids on Ipads after our long walks! Daniele informed us of some parkings nearby the apartment. However, we opted for a cheaper option outside the city. It was easy to navigate public transport to get to the apartment via bus and a short walk (4minutes).
